Artificial Turf Performance in UAE Heat

One of the most critical factors for football pitches in the UAE is surface temperature management. Standard artificial turf can exceed 70 °C at midday in summer, making play uncomfortable or unsafe. We specify and install turf systems with heat-reflective fibres and phase-change infill materials (such as cork or TPE crumb rubber) that absorb less solar radiation, reducing surface temperatures by 10–15 °C compared to standard SBR infill. In addition, every pitch we install includes an in-field irrigation system — activated for 10–15 minutes before play — to further lower surface temperature through evaporative cooling, a technique consistent with FIFA's guidance on pitch maintenance in hot climates.

Our drainage systems are designed to handle the UAE's occasional heavy rainfall events while maintaining consistent sub-base performance.
